Job summary

OceanFirst Bank is seeking a Commercial Banking Sr. Relationship Manager to drive new business and expand existing relationships.

You will structure complex credit solutions, manage a diverse loan portfolio, and leverage centers of influence in target markets to maximize profitability. The role requires extensive lending experience with large, sophisticated clients, strong credit judgment, and the ability to coordinate with credit professionals to support new or renewing credit exposure.

Qualifications

• Extensive sales, negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Thorough knowledge of banking regulations and laws governing commercial lending.
• Proven ability to work independently and leverage professional relationships inside and outside the bank.
• Demonstrated experience prospecting and managing high-revenue clients (>$50MM).
• Formal credit training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new commercial loan relationships and deposit relationships.
• Interview clients seeking commercial loans and analyze financial data to assess creditworthiness.
• Structure loan terms within bank policies and monitor portfolio performance and covenant compliance.
• Cross-sell bank products and act as trusted advisor to mid-to-large size companies in the footprint.
