Job summary

OceanFirst Bank is seeking a Commercial Banking Sr. Relationship Manager to acquire and expand commercial clients, build a loan portfolio and manage complex credit relationships. You will leverage COI networks, call on prospects, and structure terms within bank policies.

You will drive new business, manage profitability, and collaborate with credit teams to support large, sophisticated clients across the bank footprint, while maintaining high standards of compliance and risk management.

Qualifications

• Extensive sales, negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Experience in managing large, sophisticated and complex relationships.
• Thorough knowledge of banking products, credit policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and develops new commercial loan relationships.
• Structures loan terms and negotiates with clients following lending guidelines.
• Manages a commercial loan portfolio and ensures covenant compliance.
• Develops deposit relationships and cross-sells bank products to clients.
• Maintains knowledge of products and competitors to maximize profitability.
• Partners with credit professionals to document new or renewing credit exposures.
