Job summary

OceanFirst Bank is seeking a Sr. Relationship Manager for Commercial Banking to acquire new clients and expand existing relationships. This role focuses on developing a commercial loan portfolio, handling complex credit structures, and leveraging COIs to grow the bank’s footprint.

You will manage relationships with large, sophisticated clients, negotiate terms, and partner with credit professionals to deliver approvals and ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Extensive sales, negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Experience in managing large, sophisticated relationships.
• Strong knowledge of commercial banking products and credit policy.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new commercial loan relationships and deposit relationships.
• Interview clients seeking commercial loans and analyze financial data for creditworthiness.
• Structure loan terms to meet client needs and bank guidelines.
• Manage a commercial loan portfolio and ensure covenant compliance and reviews.
• Monitor loan repayment activities and collect on past-due accounts.
• Cross-sell bank products to existing customers and act as trusted advisor.
