Job summary

OceanFirst Bank is seeking a Commercial Banking Sr. Relationship Manager to acquire new clients and expand existing relationships within our footprint.

You will manage a diverse portfolio of commercial loans, structure terms, and work with credit teams to ensure profitable, compliant deals. The role emphasizes relationship management, prospecting via COIs, and selling a broad range of commercial products while maintaining high levels of client service and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, or related field.
• Experience prospecting and managing large clients and revenues over $50MM+.
• Minimum 10+ years of commercial lending experience with strong credit training desired.

Responsibilities

• Acquire new commercial banking clients and expand/retain existing relationships.
• Develop a commercial loan portfolio and manage complex credit relationships.
• Solicit and service prospective customers for various commercial loans.
• Maintain portfolio profitability while managing risk and compliance.
• Engage centers of influence to grow the bank's footprint and referrals.
• Collaborate with credit professionals to support new or renewing exposure.
• Represent the bank in civic and community functions to bolster its image.
