Job summary

OceanFirst Bank seeks a Senior Relationship Manager in Commercial Banking to acquire new clients and deepen existing relationships, building a robust loan portfolio and expanding the Bank's footprint through centers of influence.

You will solicit and service complex commercial loans, structure terms, analyze financial data, and work with credit professionals to ensure compliant, profitable financing while representing the Bank in community engagements and cross-sell opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Prospecting and managing clients with annual revenues in excess of $50MM+.
• Minimum of 10+ years commercial lending experience.
• Formal credit training strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new commercial loan relationships.
• Identify and develop new deposit relationships.
• Interview clients and prospects seeking commercial loans.
• Collect and analyze financial data to determine creditworthiness.
• Structure loan terms and conditions meeting client needs and lending guidelines.
• Recommend loan approvals or declinations within policy.
• Manage a commercial loan portfolio for covenant compliance and reviews.
• Monitor loan repayment and collect past-due accounts.
• Cross-sell the Bank's products to existing customers.
• Partner with credit professionals to document new or renewing credit exposure.
