Job summary

Modigent is seeking a Service Technician III to independently diagnose, repair, and maintain complex commercial HVAC systems across diverse facilities. You will lead service calls, mentor junior technicians, and ensure safety, code compliance, and energy efficiency throughout projects.

The role emphasizes advanced diagnostics, system startups, and customer-focused service in a field-based environment with regional travel and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in commercial HVAC service, repair, maintenance
• High school diploma or GED required; trade school preferred
• EPA 608 certification (Universal preferred); OSHA 10/30 a plus

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex commercial HVAC systems
• Perform major component replacements and refrigerant handling
• Conduct preventive maintenance and energy-efficiency assessments
• Lead full service calls from dispatch to completion
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and safety standards
• Document service activities thoroughly and maintain records
• Mentor junior technicians and promote safety and quality
