Job summary

Modigent is seeking a Senior Service Technician III to independently handle complex commercial HVAC service calls, diagnostics, repairs, and system startups across diverse facilities. You will lead service efforts on challenging jobs, mentor junior technicians, and ensure high-reliability, code-compliant, energy-efficient solutions.

Bring 5+ years of experience, EPA 608 certification, and strong diagnostic skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive hands-on commercial HVAC service, repair, and maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or GED is required; trade school or apprenticeship preferred.
• EPA Section 608 certification (Universal strongly preferred) and related credentials are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex commercial HVAC systems (RTUs, chillers, boilers, controls).
• Perform major component replacements and refrigerant handling.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and energy-efficiency assessments.
• Lead full service calls from dispatch to completion with customer communication.
• Ensure all work complies with codes, EPA requirements, and safety standards.
• Document service activities for billing, warranty, and audits.
• Mentor junior technicians and promote safety and quality.
