Job summary

Modigent is seeking a Service Technician III to operate as a senior journeyman on complex commercial HVAC service calls, including diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, and startups. You will lead service efforts, mentor junior technicians, and ensure code compliance, energy efficiency, and customer satisfaction on projects nationwide.

This field-based role requires strong diagnostic skills, EPA 608, NATE credentials, OSHA training, and the ability to travel regionally.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive hands-on commercial HVAC service, repair, and maintenance.
• Journeyman-level proficiency in diagnosing and resolving advanced system issues independently.
• EPA Section 608 certification (Universal strongly preferred) and other credentials a plus.
• Proven ability to work safely in field environments and lead service activities.

Responsibilities

• Independently diagnose, repair, and maintain complex commercial HVAC systems (RTUs, chillers, boilers, controls).
• Lead full service calls from dispatch to completion and communicate findings and solutions to customers.
• Mentor Service Technician I & II and promote safety and quality on-site.
• Ensure work complies with codes, EPA requirements, and manufacturer specs; document activities for records.
