Job summary

Modigent seeks a Service Technician III to operate as a senior journeyman-level expert, independently diagnosing, repairing, maintaining complex commercial HVAC systems across diverse facilities. Lead service efforts on challenging jobs, mentor junior technicians, and ensure code compliance, energy efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on experience, EPA 608 certification (NATE/OSHA a plus), and field-based work with regional travel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive hands-on commercial HVAC service experience.
• Journeyman-level proficiency diagnosing and resolving advanced system issues independently.
• EPA Type 608 certification preferred; NATE, OSHA 10/30 a plus.

Responsibilities

• Independently diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex commercial HVAC systems.
• Lead full service calls from dispatch to completion with clear customer communication.
• Perform advanced repairs including component replacements and system start-ups/retrofits.
• Mentor junior technicians and ensure safety and quality standards.
• Document service activities for billing, warranties, and continuous improvement.
