Job summary

Modigent is seeking a Service Technician III to independently diagnose, repair, and maintain complex commercial HVAC systems across varied facilities. The role involves leading service calls, mentoring junior technicians, and ensuring compliance with EPA requirements and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on HVAC experience, EPA 608 certification, and strong diagnostic skills. Travel within the market and flexible hours may be required to support critical systems

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive hands-on commercial HVAC service, repair, and maintenance experience.
• EPA Section 608 certification (Universal strongly preferred); NATE or other credentials a plus.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied environments.
• Field-based roles with occasional travel and on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Independently diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex commercial HVAC systems.
• Perform advanced repairs including major component replacements and system startups.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, energy-efficiency assessments, and system optimization.
• Lead full service calls from dispatch to completion and communicate findings to customers.
• Ensure compliance with codes, EPA requirements, and safety standards.
• Document service activities for billing, warranty, and improvements.
• Mentor junior technicians and promote safety and quality standards.
