Job summary

Modigent is seeking a Service Technician III to diagnose, repair, and maintain complex commercial HVAC systems across a variety of facilities. This senior role includes leading service calls, mentoring junior technicians, and delivering high-reliability solutions that meet code, energy, and customer satisfaction goals.

You will work in field settings throughout the region, performing startups, preventive maintenance, and system optimization with strong emphasis on safety and EPA/OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive hands-on commercial HVAC service experience, with journeyman-level proficiency.
• High school diploma or GED required; trade/apprenticeship training preferred.
• EPA Section 608 certification (Universal strongly preferred) and additional credentials valued.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in varied environments, and comply with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Independently diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex commercial HVAC systems.
• Lead service calls from dispatch to completion, communicating findings and recommendations to customers.
• Perform advanced repairs, startups, balancing, and retrofits as needed.
• Mentor junior technicians and promote safety, quality, and efficient workmanship.
• Ensure compliance with codes, EPA requirements, and company safety standards.
• Document service activities and maintain accurate records for billing and warranties.
