Job summary

Modigent is seeking a Service Technician III to independently diagnose, repair, and maintain sophisticated commercial HVAC systems across diverse facilities. You will lead challenging service calls, communicate findings with customers, coordinate parts, and ensure high reliability and safety standards nationwide.

The role emphasizes mentorship of junior technicians, adherence to EPA and OSHA guidelines, and ongoing professional development through certifications and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive hands-on commercial HVAC service, repair, and maintenance experience.
• EPA Section 608 certification (Universal strongly preferred) or equivalent preferred.
• NATE certification or manufacturer training a plus.
• OSHA 10/30-hour or equivalent safety credentials.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied environments.

Responsibilities

• Independently diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex commercial HVAC systems including RTUs, chillers, boilers, and controls.
• Perform advanced repairs such as major component replacements and system commissioning.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, energy assessments, and system optimization to minimize downtime.
• Lead full service calls from dispatch to completion and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Mentor Service Technician I and II, promoting safety and quality standards.
