Job summary

Modigent is seeking a Service Technician III to operate as a senior-level expert for complex commercial HVAC service across diverse facilities nationwide. You will lead service calls, diagnose advanced issues, perform major repairs, and ensure energy efficiency while maintaining rigorous safety standards.

The role emphasizes mentoring junior technicians, coordinating parts, and delivering high-quality, code-compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC service and maintenance experience.
• Journeyman-level proficiency in diagnosing and resolving advanced system issues independently.
• Ability to work independently across diverse facilities (buildings, hospitals, schools, industrial).
• EPA Section 608 certification required; NATE or manufacturer training a plus.
• Strong communication, safety leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex commercial HVAC systems independently.
• Perform advanced repairs including component replacements, refrigerant handling, and commissioning.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, energy-efficiency assessments, and system optimization.
• Lead full service calls from dispatch to completion and communicate findings to customers.
• Ensure compliance with codes, EPA requirements, and Modigent safety standards.
• Document service activities thoroughly and mentor junior technicians.
• Support on-the-job learning and safety for team members.
