Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical in Suffolk, VA is seeking a full-time Electrical Foreman to supervise commercial electricians, coordinate labor, and interpret blueprints and job orders to ensure project success.

You will oversee safety compliance, review daily/weekly/monthly safety activities, and ensure quality workmanship matches specifications. A state license is preferred, OSHA 30 is a plus, and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years recent commercial electrician experience or related experience.
• State Electrical License strongly preferred.
• OSHA 30 or ability to obtain.
• Successfully pass pre-employment background check and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates activities of assigned craft workers, plans labor requirements.
• Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders as needed for area of supervision.
• Confirms completion and documentation of project Daily/Weekly/Monthly safety activities reporting.
• Inspects quality and quantity of finished work to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Interprets company policies to workers enforcing safety regulations, and proper care for tools and equipment.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems.
• Complies with all company and customer safety policies and procedures.
• Travel may be required.
