Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical, is seeking a full-time commercial Electrical Foreman in Suffolk, Virginia. The role involves supervising crews, coordinating activities, and ensuring safety and quality on commercial projects.

The position requires interpreting blueprints, directing labor, and enforcing safety policies. Travel may be required; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6-10 years recent commercial electrician experience.
• State Electrical License strongly preferred.
• OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain.
• Successfully pass pre-employment background check and MVR if operating vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates activities of assigned craft workers, plans labor requirements.
• Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders as needed for area of supervision.
• Confirms completion and documentation of project Daily/Weekly/Monthly safety activities reporting.
• Inspects quality and quantity of finished work to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Interprets company policies to workers enforcing safety regulations, and proper care for tools and equipment.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems.
• Complies with all company and customer safety policies and procedures.
• Travel may be required.
