Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc is seeking a Commercial Construction Project Manager for government projects in the Washington, DC area. The role leads project teams to deliver on time, within budget, and to the required quality, interfacing with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma with 5+ years of commercial construction PM experience or a four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; four-year degree strongly preferred.
• In lieu of a degree, 5+ years’ commercial construction experience including with a general contractor.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a PM role.
• ProCore, Microsoft Office (Project/Excel/Word/Outlook/PowerPoint), Adobe, BlueBeam, JD Edwards proficiency.
• Mastery of reading construction drawings and interpreting updates.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety compliance and project documentation.
• Create and manage project budgets for all assigned projects.
• Develop and collaborate on pre-construction RFP packages.
• Conduct meetings, set milestones, and prepare monthly owner reports.
• Coordinate RFIs, submittals, pay applications, and change orders.
• Schedule projects, ensure quality control, and manage logistics.
• Oversee closeout processes and ensure client needs are met.
• Collaborate with project superintendent and site operations team.
