Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc. in Washington, DC is seeking a Commercial Construction Project Manager (Industrial) to lead projects from pre-construction through closeout.

You will coordinate budgets, schedules, and subcontractor relations, ensuring safety, quality, and client satisfaction. The role requires 5+ years of GC experience, strong drawing interpretation, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in commercial construction with a GC background.
• Mastery of reading construction drawings and plan interpretation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of pricing trends and market conditions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain adherence to safety standards and document filing.
• Create and manage project budgets for assigned projects.
• Develop pre-construction RFP packages and scope.
• Conduct project meetings, set milestones, and prepare owner reports.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, pay apps, and change orders.
• Schedule work, assure quality control, and manage logistics.
• Oversee closeout processes and client communications.
• Supervise assistant PMs, MEP managers, and safety staff.
• Collaborate with the superintendent and site ops team throughout the project.
