Job summary
Community Bank System, Inc. seeks a disciplined Credit Analyst to review and analyze Business Banking loan requests, determine credit worthiness, and make underwriting decisions within policy.
The role involves evaluating collateral, cash flow, and financial statements, and structuring loans with appropriate pricing and risk ratings. You will mentor branch lenders, provide quality customer service, and stay compliant with banking regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Credit Analyst or Lender with proven track record.
- Commercial lending experience preferred.
- Knowledge of current lending regulations and loan policies.
- Ability to determine credit worthiness and structure loans.
Responsibilities
- Review business loan requests to determine credit worthiness.
- Evaluate collateral, financial statements, projections, cash flow and business plans.
- Determine loan structure, pricing and risk rating.
- Summarize findings with rationale for loan decisions.
- Recommend loans to underwriting manager for higher limits.
- Ensure commercial mortgages meet conditioned criteria and resolve due diligence issues.
- Manage multiple loan requests and mentor branch lenders.
- Provide high-quality customer service.
- Identify SBA loan opportunities and advise accordingly.
- Collaborate with Business Banking team to achieve department goals.
