Job summary

Community Bank, N.A. is seeking a Credit Analyst to review business banking loan requests, determine credit worthiness, and structure loans in accordance with bank policies.

The role requires a BS/BA in finance or related field, experience as a Credit Analyst or Lender, strong regulatory knowledge, and proficiency with Word and Excel. Competitive compensation includes robust benefits and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• B.S. or B.A. degree in Finance, Management, Economics, Accounting or equivalent in experience.
• Experience as a Credit Analyst or Lender with proven track record.
• NextGen experience a plus.
• A thorough knowledge of current lending and banking regulations, loan policies, and procedures.
• Proficient knowledge of Word, Excel and other department programs.
• Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills.
• Proficient interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
• All applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Independently review and analyze Business Banking Loan requests to determine credit worthiness.
• Evaluate collateral, financial statements, projections, and cash flow to determine risk.
• Determine loan structure, pricing and risk rating.
• Concisely summarize findings and rationalize loan decisions in comments.
• Make sound loan recommendations to Underwriting Manager or Senior Underwriter on high-amount requests.
• Ensure commercial mortgages meet conditioned criteria and resolve due diligence issues.
• Mentor branch lenders and provide quality customer service.
• Facilitate underwriting of SBA guaranteed loans when needed.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable laws, policies, and training requirements.
