Job summary

Community Financial System, Inc. is seeking a Credit Analyst to assess business loan applications, determine credit worthiness, and structure loans within policy. The role supports underwriting decisions, communicates risk, and may involve SBA-related lending.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in finance, management, economics, or accounting, or equivalent experience.
• Experience as a Credit Analyst or Lender; commercial lending preferred.
• Knowledge of current lending regulations, loan policies, and procedures.
• NextGen experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze Business Banking Loan requests to determine credit worthiness.
• Determine loan structure, pricing and risk rating.
• Approve or condition loans within lending limits and policies.
• Summarize findings with rationale for decisions.
• Mentor branch lenders and support the underwriting process.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal controls.
