Job summary

Fulton Bank seeks a Commercial Relationship Manager to grow and manage a portfolio of middle-market customers, overseeing lending, deposits and related services. You will coordinate loan closings, negotiate terms, and serve as the primary banking contact, delivering tailored financial solutions with a client-centric approach.

You will work in a hybrid/onsite setting across the region, developing new business while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent experience.
• Experience: 6+ years Commercial Credit, Commercial banking, Consumer, or Small Business experience.
• 2+ years managing a large complex portfolio of clients.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop prospective customers with lending, deposit and other financial service needs.
• Source opportunity, negotiate mutually agreeable terms, navigate the credit underwriting and approval process, document the loan and execute the closing.
• Remain close to the customer and counsel them to support business goals; act as primary contact for banking needs and provide annual relationship reviews.
• Use knowledge of business, finance, banking, credit and risk management to identify, recommend, and promote solutions that best serve the client and portfolio profitability.
• Build knowledge of diverse types of businesses, industries, markets, and financial concepts.
• Cultivate relationships through strategic partnerships across the region.
• Stay informed of current commercial products and industry trends and practices.
• Carry out business development activities to identify bank prospects and maintain a stable network of potential clients.
• Drive portfolio revenue growth and meet sales goals within risk tolerance, collaborating with Fulton Partners and Retail Relationship Managers.
• Keep the sales platform updated for client coordination and stay current on tools that improve efficiency.
• Ensure credit review and risk rating practices are continuous, complete and accurate; monitor financial data and loan maturities.
• Understand and contribute to the credit decisioning process; address troubled credits with appropriate actions.
• Complete timely loan documentation and comply with regulatory requirements.
