Job summary

Zendesk: Transform Customer & Employee Service with AI Agents is seeking a Commercial Account Executive in the United States. The role focuses on net-new business, prospecting and executive selling to build and close strategic deals leveraging Zendesk AI-powered CX solutions.

You will drive a structured, multi-threaded sales process with stakeholders across business, technology, security and procurement, and you will maintain rigorous CRM and forecasting discipline.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of related experience in complex B2B SaaS new-business selling.
• Proven capability in value-based discovery and commercial deal ownership.
• Evidence of prospecting discipline, quota attainment, and executive engagement.
• Ability to discuss AI, automation, service operations and platform value credibly.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain qualified net-new pipeline through targeted outbound, inbound conversion, partner routes and territory planning.
• Lead a repeatable prospecting-to-close process: discovery, qualification, value mapping, mutual action planning, business-case development, negotiation, contracting and close.
• Translate customer business priorities and transformation goals into Zendesk platform and AI value proposition.
• Build executive and multi-threaded alignment across business, technology, security, finance and procurement.
• Own commercial strategy, deal progression and negotiation within guardrails; protect customer value and delivery credibility.
• Orchestrate cross-functional teams to improve win probability.
• Maintain accurate CRM data, pipeline health, forecast discipline and early risk visibility.
• Return market, competitor and buyer insight to improve go-to-market motion.
