Job summary

Pagaya is seeking a dynamic Collections & Recovery expert to join our commercial team in New York. You will shape collections and recovery strategies across our lender partners for personal and auto loans, leveraging analytics and industry best practices to drive improved outcomes.

You will design tests, monitor KPIs, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize outreach, settlement, and recovery channels while reducing risk and losses.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of experience managing Collections and Recovery strategies.
• Expertise in the US Collections and Recovery space, with a focus on Personal or Auto loans.
• Knowledge of the consumer credit space including laws/regulations (FDCPA, UDAAP, TCPA, RegF).
• Fintech experience preferred.
• Experience in payment and hardship programs, outbound/digital outreach, payment optimization, and risk monitoring (First Line of Defense).
• Knowledge of recovery channels including debt sales, repossession, litigation, internal recovery, and TP vendor management.
• Background in analytics, BI, strategy development, or related.

Responsibilities

• Develop Collections and Recovery strategies across Pagaya’s partner network.
• Design, manage, and maintain collection tests and strategies to improve roll, charge-off rates, and engagement.
• Build, monitor, and maintain KPIs by asset class and partner.
• Develop business insights, roadmaps, and present proposals to senior leaders.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to improve outcomes.
• Aim for risk and loss reduction in all activities.
