Job summary

Upgrade, Inc. in San Francisco seeks a Senior Collections Strategy Analyst to own analytics and strategy across post-charge-off and pre-charge-off recovery operations.

You will build the reporting infrastructure and testing frameworks, partnering with risk, compliance, legal, operations and product to translate analysis into implemented strategies. This role requires strong SQL, Tableau, and dashboarding skills, with a talent for clear communication to senior leadership in a fast-paced fintech

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years in a quantitative, analytics, or strategy role in collections or risk.
• Direct experience with dialer strategy, agency management, DSC/settlements or hardship programs.
• Advanced SQL skills and ability to query large datasets independently.
• Experience building dashboards in Tableau and advanced Excel/Sheets.
• Strong test-and-learn experience to optimize operations and strategy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for senior stakeholders.
• BA/BS in a quantitative field or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Build an analytics framework for recovery, including debt sale, 3rd-party agencies, and DSCs.
• Design and test dialer strategies and contact cadence across stages.
• Lead test-and-learn experiments to optimize treatment options.
• Create quarterly reviews and KPIs for third-party collection agencies.
• Own digital communications strategy across email, SMS, and AI voice channels.
• Analyze settlement performance with DSCs and monitor portfolio trends.
• Evaluate hardship program design to improve borrower outcomes.
• Perform portfolio analytics for leadership and cross-functional partners.
• Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Legal, Ops and Product to implement insights.
• Present findings clearly to senior leadership and stakeholders.
