Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, is seeking an IT Configuration Analyst to lead CMDB operations, ensuring accurate data, governance, and alignment with ITIL practices across enterprise infrastructure, apps, and services.

The role interfaces with operations, engineering, and service management to support stable IT service delivery, audits, data quality improvements, and strategic configuration management initiatives. A SECRET clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT or related field.
• 4–7 years of experience in configuration management, service management, or IT operations.
• ITIL-aligned knowledge and integration with incident, change, and problem processes.
• Experience with enterprise ITSM/CMDB platforms (e.g., ServiceNow) for maintaining CIs and reports.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. SECRET clearance (U.S. citizenship).
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day CMDB operations by establishing processes to create, update, and retire CIs and relationships.
• Analyze discovery feeds, updates, and changes to reconcile data and improve CMDB accuracy.
• Plan and execute CMDB audits and certifications, validate data against inventories, and oversee remediation with owning teams.
• Configure ITSM/CMDB tools to build queries, reports, and dashboards for impact analysis and decision-making.
• Ensure change, incident, and problem records are linked to CIs for traceability and reporting.
• Define and monitor CMDB data quality metrics; drive governance and training to sustain data integrity.
• Contribute to configuration management plans, procedures, and ITIL-aligned policies.
