Job summary

Dun & Bradstreet is seeking a Senior CMDB Architecture Engineer to own the technical architecture, design, implementation, and ongoing health of the ServiceNow CMDB. You will ensure accurate, complete configuration data to support ITSM, ITOM, operational resilience, security, and technology decision-making.

You will provide leadership for Discovery, Service Mapping, and CMDB data ingestion, working with cross-functional teams to improve data quality and reliability across the CMDB ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years of CMDB/ServiceNow architecture and ITOM/ITSM experience.
• Expert knowledge of CMDB architecture, CI classes, attributes, relationships, lifecycle management.
• Expertise in the ServiceNow Common Service Data Model.
• Deep knowledge of ServiceNow Identification and Reconciliation Engine.
• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow Discovery, MID Servers, credentials, schedules, patterns, probes and sensors, cloud discovery, troubleshooting.
• Experience with Service Mapping and configuration-data integrations.
• Strong CMDB health management and data quality expertise.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator, Certified Implementation Specialist – Discovery, and Certified Implementation Specialist – Service Mapping required.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the CMDB data model aligned with CSMD5 and ServiceNow best practices.
• Define and govern CI classes, attributes, relationships, and lifecycle standards.
• Provide technical leadership for ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, integrations, and data ingestion.
• Establish and monitor CMDB health metrics for completeness, correctness, compliance, and duplicates.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper discovery, governance, and maintenance of CMDB data.
• Investigate and resolve complex CMDB data-quality issues (duplicate, stale, orphaned items).
• Evaluate discovery patterns and integrations to strengthen CMDB reliability and value.
