Job summary

Equinix is seeking a Senior CMDB Developer to design, develop, and optimize the enterprise CMDB within ServiceNow. You will ensure high-quality, reliable, and scalable configuration data powering ITSM, ITOM, SAM, APM, and automation initiatives.

In this role, you will own data governance, health, and lifecycle management, work across CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, and integrations, and provide technical leadership to ensure trusted system-of-record and effective deduplication strategies.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and governing CMDB data models and CI classes.
• Hands-on development in ServiceNow CMDB, including rules and policies.
• Experience with CI lifecycle, reconciliation rules, and normalization processes.
• Familiarity with ITIL-aligned CMDB processes and cross-domain collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain CMDB data models (CSDM aligned), CI class structures, and relationships.
• Develop and enhance ServiceNow CMDB using Business Rules, Script Includes, Flow Designer, UI Policies.
• Configure and maintain Discovery, Service Mapping, and CMDB Workspace.
• Implement lifecycle states, CI governance rules, and automation.
• Build and maintain Discovery patterns, schedules, probes, and MID server configurations.
• Integrate CMDB with enterprise systems (SCCM, Intune, AWS, Azure, monitoring tools).
• Define Identification & Reconciliation Engine (IRE) rules and normalization processes.
• Ensure trusted system-of-record integration and deduplication strategies.
• Monitor and improve CMDB health KPIs; root cause analysis for data issues.
