Job summary

Dun & Bradstreet is seeking a Senior CMDB Architecture Engineer to own the CMDB design, data integrity, and integration for ServiceNow across ITSM and ITOM.

You will lead discovery, mapping, data ingestion, and governance, establish health metrics, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate, complete configuration data.

This role requires deep expertise, certifications, and a proactive ownership mindset.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of CMDB architecture or ServiceNow experience.
• Expert knowledge of CMDB concepts, data models, and lifecycle management.
• Strong expertise with ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and data ingestion.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the CMDB data model in alignment with CSDA5 and ServiceNow best practices.
• Define and govern configuration item classes, attributes, relationships, identification rules, and lifecycle standards.
• Provide technical leadership for ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, integrations, and CMDB data ingestion.
• Establish, monitor, and improve CMDB health metrics covering completeness, correctness, compliance, and duplicate configuration items.
• Partner with Discovery, Service Mapping, Software Asset Management, IAM, and process owners to ensure data is properly discovered, integrated, governed, and maintained.
• Identify, investigate and resolve complex CMDB data-quality issues, including duplicates and misclassifications.
• Evaluate discovery patterns and implement improvements to strengthen CMDB reliability.
