Job summary

Dun & Bradstreet is seeking a Senior CMDB Architecture Engineer to own the CMDB design, data model, and health strategy within ServiceNow. You will lead discovery, mapping, and data ingestion, ensuring accurate, complete configuration data to support IT services and security decisions.

The role emphasizes collaboration with numerous teams, governance of CI classes and lifecycle standards, and a proactive approach to improving CMDB reliability and value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years in CMDB architecture, ServiceNow platform engineering, or related discipline.
• Expert knowledge of CMDB architecture and lifecycle management.
• Expertise in the ServiceNow Common Service Data Model.
• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow Discovery, including MID Servers and patterns.
• Experience with Service Mapping and data ingestion integrations.
• Certification in ServiceNow is preferred (admin/maps/mapping).

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the CMDB data model aligned with CSMD5 and ServiceNow best practices.
• Define and govern configuration item classes, attributes, relationships, and lifecycle standards.
• Provide technical leadership for Discovery, Service Mapping, and CMDB data ingestion.
• Establish and improve CMDB health metrics for completeness and data quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper data discovery, integration, and governance.
• Investigate and resolve complex CMDB data-quality issues.
