Meta is seeking a seasoned hardware engineering professional with leadership experience to own and improve the performance and reliability of compute, storage, and accelerator platforms in production data centers. You will coordinate with engineers, tooling, and provisioning teams to diagnose issues and drive improvements across global fleet.

The role spans on-prem data centers and cloud capacity, requiring collaboration across cloud providers and internal teams to ensure robust platform health

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of server hardware experience in internet operations or development/design/test.
• Experience triaging and debugging hardware platforms.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Experience mentoring technicians and engineers.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships with customers and vendors.

Responsabilités

• Serve as SME for compute, storage, and accelerator (GPU) platforms in production data centers and cloud capacity.
• Escalation point for cloud hardware issues; drive investigations to resolution.
• Identify systemic hardware issues within and across cloud providers.
• Represent Meta's reliability and serviceability expectations to cloud providers.
• Apply learnings from cloud environments to Meta's platform work to speed diagnostics.
• Provide end-to-end lifecycle support for hardware platforms in data centers.
