Job summary

Meta is seeking an experienced hardware engineering professional to lead production platform reliability across data centers and cloud capacity. The role focuses on compute/storage/accelerator platforms, diagnosis, and cross‑functional collaboration with engineering and operations.

You will work with NPI and production teams to improve fleet health, identify systemic issues, and drive end-to-end lifecycle support. Strong data skills and leadership across large teams are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in server hardware in internet ops or design/test validation.
• Experience triaging and debugging hardware platforms.
• Familiarity with NPI server platform development.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix OS.
• Experience mentoring technicians/engineers.
• Ability to create user-facing documentation.
• Strong communication and collaboration across org levels.
• Experience with customer/vendor relationships.
• Ability to leverage data to improve hardware decisions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for compute, storage, and GPU platforms in data centers and cloud capacity.
• Act as deep escalation point for cloud hardware issues and drive investigation to resolution.
• Identify systemic hardware issues within/across cloud providers.
• Represent reliability and serviceability to cloud providers with technical evidence.
• Apply learning from cloud environment to Meta platform work for faster diagnosis.
• Provide end-to-end lifecycle support from test to decommissioning.
• Drive complex investigations across Hardware/Software/Networking/Power & Cooling.
• Analyze health of global server fleet to mitigate impact quickly.
• Collaborate with HW Eng, Release to Production, and Systems Integration for mass production.
• Identify risks early in new hardware programs and contribute test methods.
• Act as product owner for server/storage platforms; perform RCA/CA with teams.
• Issue alerts and fixes to operations; maintain feedback loop to Eng.
• Build relationships across the company and solicit feedback to improve operations.
• Provide serviceability feedback to improve repair activities.
