Job summary

Meta is seeking an experienced hardware engineering professional to lead production platform initiatives for server, storage, accelerators (GPU), and networking within data centers and cloud environments. You will own end-to-end health and performance of the global server fleet, diagnose systemic hardware issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reliability at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• BS/BA in electrical, mechanical, or computer engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience with server hardware in internet operations or hardware design/test.
• Experience triaging and debugging hardware platforms.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Experience mentoring technicians/engineers.
• Strong documentation skills for users at all levels.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Expertise in using data to improve hardware decision making.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for compute, storage, and accelerator platforms in data centers and cloud consumption.
• Escalate and drive hardware/software investigations to resolution.
• Identify systemic hardware issues within and across cloud providers.
• Represent reliability and serviceability expectations to cloud providers.
• Apply Meta platform knowledge to accelerate cloud diagnostics.
• Provide end-to-end lifecycle support of hardware platforms and new tech.
• Lead global investigations across Hardware, Software/Firmware, Networking, Power & Cooling.
• Analyze health of the global server fleet to mitigate impact.
• Collaborate with HW Engineering and Systems Integration to mass produce platforms.
• Identify risks early in new hardware programs and contribute test methods.
• Act as product owner for server/storage platforms; drive RCA/CA with teams.
• Issue timely alerts and feedback to operations and engineering.
