Job summary

Meta is seeking an experienced hardware engineering leader to own the health and performance of Meta’s server, storage, and accelerator platforms in data centers and cloud capacity. The role spans global, cross-functional problem solving, diagnostics, and end-to-end lifecycle support from production test to decommissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant technical field.
• 10+ years in server hardware systems in internet operations or design/test validation.
• Experience triaging and debugging hardware platforms.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Experience mentoring technicians/engineers.
• Ability to communicate across organizational levels.
• Data-driven decision making using large telemetry.
• Experience with customers and vendors relationships.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for compute, storage, and accelerator platforms in production data centers.
• Act as deep escalation point for cloud hardware issues and drive investigations to resolution.
• Identify systemic hardware issues across cloud providers and platform behavior.
• Represent reliability and serviceability expectations to cloud providers with technical evidence.
• Carry cloud findings back into Meta's platform work to accelerate diagnosis.
• Provide end-to-end lifecycle support for hardware platforms and new technologies.
• Drive global technical investigations spanning Hardware, Software, Networking and Power & Cooling.
• Analyze fleet health to proactively identify systemic issues and mitigate impact.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Release to Production, and Systems Integration for mass production of new platforms.
• Identify risks early in new hardware programs and contribute test methods.
• Act as product owner for server/storage platforms and perform RCA/CA in collaboration with teams.
• Issue timely alerts and fixes to operations teams and provide feedback to engineering.
• Build relationships across the company and solicit feedback to improve operational effectiveness.
• Provide serviceability feedback to improve repair efficiency.
