Job summary

Fuze Health is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to lead the modernization of SQL Server infrastructure across the Hospice business unit. You will drive the migration to AWS RDS, optimize SSIS/SSRS, and upskill the team in cloud database operations.

The role requires 8+ years of database experience, strong SQL Server expertise, and a focus on HIPAA/HITRUST compliance. Remote nationwide work with competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of database administration experience.
• Deep expertise with Microsoft SQL Server (2016+) performance tuning, HA and DR.
• Hands-on with SQL Server upgrades and end-of-support migrations.
• Strong SSIS/SSRS experience.
• Experience with AWS RDS setup, migration, monitoring, Multi-AZ.

Responsibilities

• Lead the SQL Server modernization on EC2 and migration to AWS RDS.
• Assess, migrate, and maintain SSIS ETL packages and SSRS reports.
• Drive database cost optimization and right-size resources.
• Upskill Hospice SQL DBA team on AWS database operations.
• Establish cloud-native monitoring with Datadog and CloudWatch.
• Design automated backup, restore, and DR processes using AWS Backup.
• Collaborate with DevOps on Terraform for RDS automation.
• Ensure HITRUST/HIPAA compliance for database systems.
• Support application team with database-related development.
• Evaluate PostgreSQL/Aurora as future roadmap.
