Job summary

Fuze Health Inc. is seeking a Senior Database Administrator for the Fuze Care Services unit to lead AWS database modernization, migrate SQL Server to RDS or upgrade off 2016, and optimize SSIS/SSRS in a hospice healthcare environment serving patients nationwide.

You will guide cost optimization, mentor the DBA team, implement cloud monitoring with Datadog and CloudWatch, and collaborate with DevOps on Terraform-based infrastructure, while ensuring HITRUST/HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in database administration.
Deep expertise with Microsoft SQL Server (2016+) performance tuning, HA and DR.
Hands-on upgrades/migrations off SQL Server 2016 including testing.

Responsibilities

Lead SQL Server modernization on EC2 and migration to AWS RDS or in-place upgrade.
Migrate/maintain SSIS ETL and SSRS reporting; re-platform to AWS-native tools as needed.
Drive database cost optimization, right-sizing, and licensing strategies.
Upskill Hospice SQL DBA team on AWS database operations and cloud best practices.
Establish cloud-native monitoring with Datadog and CloudWatch.
Design automated backup, restore, and DR processes using AWS Backup.
Collaborate with DevOps on Terraform for RDS infrastructure.
Ensure HITRUST/HIPAA compliance across database systems.
