Job summary

Karius is expanding its Infectious Disease diagnostics in hospitals across the U.S. The Clinical Sales Manager will lead sales in Alabama, building relationships with infectious disease physicians, lab directors, and hospital executives to drive adoption of the Karius test and its microbial insights.

You will collaborate with Inside Sales, Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Product teams, manage contracts, and help establish a world-class commercial organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or MBA a plus.
• 5+ years of sales/business development experience in Life Sciences/biotech, medical devices, diagnostics, or pharma.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Proven success launching transformational products to physicians/hospitals.
• Strong network across hospitals, labs, physician groups, and executives.
• Excellent vision and planning to grow the territory.
• Solid business acumen with analytical problem-solving.
• Ability to build relationships from C-level to physicians and lab directors.

Responsibilities

• Grow sales revenue and test volume in territory by acquiring new hospitals and expanding within existing ones.
• Collaborate with Inside Sales, Customer Success, Medical Affairs, and Marketing to hit territory and company goals.
• Develop thought leaders and early adopters for new diagnostic approaches.
• Help build a world-class commercial organization and culture.
• Manage regional hospital and health system accounts; prioritize opportunities.
• Present product features and ROI to stakeholders; manage evaluations and adoption.
• Act as a subject matter expert on the Karius test and differentiate from competitors.
• Establish trusted advisor relationships with partner accounts; ensure ongoing utilization.
• Secure contracts and renewals to stabilize long-term revenue.
