Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a Health Data Analyst in its Quality Abstraction department. The role focuses on collaborating with clients to understand business needs, develop analytic approaches, and deliver BI reports for healthcare data projects.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in health-related fields or RN, 2+ years in health data, and will work fully remotely from the United States with a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• Understand registries and databases; identify data integrity issues.
• Communicate effectively in verbal, written, and electronic formats.
• Proficient with Windows and common computer software.

Responsibilities

• Directs and executes multiple, concurrent projects with minimal supervision.
• Leads evaluation of service requests to clarify business and technical issues with the client.
• Partners with the client to understand business needs, project scope, and deliverables.
• Leads ongoing client interface to develop analytic approaches to requests.
• Develops population definitions to meet project needs.
• Recommends data processes balancing data needs with urgency and action requirements.
• Understands context of requested data and aligns with other initiatives.
• Uses statistical techniques to describe and evaluate data and builds reports for management.
• Provides value-added analysis and recommended follow-up actions.
• Supports integrating data from multiple sources into a single dataset.
• Leads review and validation of complex, custom datasets.
• Recommends methods to deliver results and facilitates data discussion.
• Develops reports using BI tools.
• Educates clients on clinical and financial concepts and data relationships.
• Guides clients through data issues and data quality considerations.
