Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a remote Health Data Analyst to join the Quality Abstraction team. You will lead data-driven projects, define population definitions, and collaborate with clinical and operational teams to deliver insights that support improvement initiatives.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in a health-related field or RN, at least 2 years of healthcare data experience, and proficiency with BI tools and data management. Remote work is supported from eligible states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a health-related field or RN eligibility.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a health-related field.
• Experience with healthcare data and quality metrics (ECQM) preferred.
• Knowledge of registries, databases, and data integrity analysis.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Directs and executes multiple, concurrent projects with minimal supervision.
• Leads evaluation of service requests to clarify business and technical issues.
• Collaborates with clients to understand business needs, scope, and deliverables.
• Develops analytic approaches and population definitions to meet project needs.
• Recommends data balancing between urgency and action requirements.
• Interprets data context across initiatives to create sustainable solutions.
• Uses statistical techniques to describe and evaluate data for management actions.
• Develops reports using various Business Intelligence tools.
• Educates clients on clinical and financial concepts related to data.
• Guides clients through data issues and data quality concerns.
• Leads data integration from multiple sources into a single dataset.
