Job summary

Ascensus is seeking a Senior Relationship Manager to oversee multiple large accounts and partner with sales to position Ascensus as the clients' provider of choice. You will drive client satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth while building strong relationships with administrators and C-level executives.

The role requires extensive retirement industry experience, strategic communication, and the ability to coordinate across business lines.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of retirement industry experience with 7-10 years in client relationship management.
• Certification or working towards ASPPA, CEBS, etc. preferred.
• Ability to work independently as required, but also within a cohesive team.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must be detail oriented and produce high-quality work under tight time constraints.
• Ability to coordinate and run meetings with senior-level personnel; travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with C-level decision makers and day-to-day plan administrators; develop strategies to improve plan operation and retirement readiness for participants.
• Work across business lines to meet client expectations across the organization.
• Act as liaison between Intermediary/Producer and the client to ensure services and compliance.
• Participate from RFP to onboarding and ongoing plan administration; ensure delivery per the original RFP.
• Manage and monitor client accounts; coordinate with vendors to resolve issues and communicate resolutions.
• Collaborate with CAM, PEC and other internal roles to meet client needs and promote client satisfaction.
• Promote retention and organic growth by leveraging industry knowledge.
• Understand non-standard plan requirements (ESOP, 457 Governmental, Deferred Compensation, 409a, etc.).
• Build broad understanding of Ascensus products and operations to enhance relationship management.
• Stay updated on laws and trends through training and industry publications.
• Make regular in-person client visits as appropriate to client size.
