Job summary

Ascensus, the leading independent technology and service platform powering savings plans across America, seeks a senior relationship manager to serve as the focal point for existing big and elite advisor plan clients and their financial advisors.

You will own relationship management, drive plan retention, coordinate with sales, service and operations, and provide consultative support to ensure execution of coordinated strategies that enhance the Ascensus experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related fields, or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years retirement services industry experience preferred
• 5+ years direct client relationships within a financial services admin environment
• Certification or working towards ASPPA, CEBS, etc. preferred
• Ability to work independently as required, but also within a cohesive team
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Detail oriented with ability to produce high quality work under tight time constraints
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including group presentations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Ability to coordinate and run meetings with senior-level personnel
• Demonstrated project management skills
• Ability to travel as required

Responsibilities

• Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access and disclosure.
• Demonstrate Ascensus Core Values in daily actions (People Matter, Quality First, Integrity Always).
• Proactively focus on clients and teamwork to drive satisfaction and retention.
• Leverage industry knowledge to promote client satisfaction and organic growth.
• Develop relationships with daily client contacts and provide ownership for issue resolution.
• Coordinate with internal Ascensus departments to advocate for clients and financial professionals.
• Review book of business to identify retention opportunities and strategize for non-elite advisors.
• Develop relationships with C-level decision makers to educate and communicate strategies.
• Cross-sell revenue opportunities to plan sponsors and financial professionals.
• Compile data, track communications and escalations, and optimize plan design and features.
• Lead or participate in projects that add value to existing relationships.
• Analyze client data and conduct outreach campaigns to strengthen relationships and wallet share.
• Maintain proficiency with Ascensus products across platforms.
