Job summary

Ascensus is seeking a senior relationship manager to serve big and elite advisor plan clients and their financial advisors. You will oversee relationship management, retention strategies, and cross-sell opportunities to optimize plan design and service delivery.

The role requires strategic communication with internal teams and external partners, strong analytical skills, and the ability to travel as needed to support clients across the retirement services portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years’ experience in retirement services or related field preferred.
• 5+ years’ direct client relationships within a financial services admin environment.
• Aspa/CEBS certification or pursuit preferred.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a cohesive team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Ability to coordinate and run meetings with senior-level stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Protect confidential data and ensure proper handling to prevent unauthorized disclosure.
• Represent Ascensus values and maintain high ethical standards.
• Provide proactive client focus and teamwork.
• Leverage industry knowledge to promote client satisfaction and retention.
• Develop relationships with daily client contacts and executives.
• Own issue resolution escalated by clients and financial professionals.
• Coordinate with internal departments to advocate for clients and financial professionals.
• Review book of business to identify retention strategies for non-elite advisors.
• Engage with C-level decision makers to educate and communicate strategies.
• Cross-sell revenue opportunities and educate about products and services.
• Collect and analyze data, track communications, and resolve escalations.
• Lead or participate in projects delivering additional value to relationships.
• Perform outreach campaigns to strengthen relationships and share of wallet.
• Maintain proficiency with Ascensus products and regulatory requirements.
