Job summary

CNA Insurance is seeking an experienced Individual Contributor to manage the most complex liability construction defect claims with national or company-wide scope. The role emphasizes technical expertise, settlement strategy, and leadership across the claims organization.

Reporting to senior management, you will mentor staff, oversee investigations, and ensure reserves while staying current on regulations and industry trends. Flexible hybrid work near CNA offices is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Typically a minimum 10 years claims experience.
• Professional designations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages the most complex investigations of claims, including coverage defenses, liability and damages exposures.
• Directs investigations or litigation on major claims and ensures reserves are set.
• Directs and may engage in negotiation of the most complex settlement packages.
• Mentors and guides less experienced claims staff and other functional areas.
• Represents company in industry trade groups or events involving external partners and clients.
