Responsibilities

• Manages the most complex investigations of claims, including coverage defenses, liability and damages exposures.
• Directs investigations or litigation on major claims with timely reserves and strategy.
• Negotiates complex settlement packages to drive cost-effective resolutions.
• Contributes to claims policy and business strategy with senior management.
• Identifies and reduces inefficiencies in claims processes.
• Keeps abreast of state regulations and industry trends; may represent CNA externally.
