Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of primary and excess claims with moderate supervision.
• Draft coverage correspondences, appoint and manage counsel, establish reserves.
• Negotiate and resolve claims; maintain comprehensive files.
• Collaborate with underwriting on significant claim exposures.
• Interact with brokers, insureds and counsel to resolve claims.
• Keep knowledge current on professional liability trends.
• Monitor market conditions and draft reference materials for teams.
• Obtain and maintain required adjusters’ licenses.
• Travel to mediations, conferences, trials and depositions; assist marketing.
• Support The Ascot Way and team development.
