Job summary

Ascot Group is seeking a Claims Counsel, Management Liability to join our Financial Lines Claims team in the United States. The role focuses on investigations, analysis, and disposition of claims related to Private Company D&O, EPL, Fiduciary, and Commercial Crime with the goal of optimizing results and advising internal partners.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant legal or claim handling experience, ideally in Management Liability, with underwriter or practice exposure.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to negotiate terms.
• Ability to work independently and build collaborative relationships with partners.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of primary and excess Management Liability Claims including Private Company D&O, EPL, Fiduciary, and Commercial Crime claims.
• Analyze, investigate, and resolve claims with moderate supervision.
• Prepare reports reflecting loss development, financial exposure, reserve adjustments, and strategy.
• Collaborate with underwriting on significant claim exposures.
• Draft coverage correspondence and manage counsel when appointed.
• Maintain comprehensive claims files and stay current on trends in Management Liability and Financial Institutions.
