Job summary

SES Constructors LLC is seeking a Lead Estimator to join our Civil Construction team. This remote role requires you to be in EST or CST and may involve travel; you will prepare detailed self-perform heavy civil estimates based on plans, specs and scopes of work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering.
• Minimum 10 years’ estimating experience in the heavy civil construction industry.
• Experience reading and interpreting contract documents and drawings.
• Experience with self-perform civil contracting.

Responsibilities

• Produce self-perform heavy civil cost estimates including crew assemblies and production rates based on project size, scope, and mix.
• Furnish accurate quantity takeoff information to list materials and assess total costs.
• Identify, source and analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes for best value.
• Identify risks and develop plans to address them.
• Prepare inquiries to clients regarding drawings, specs and scopes of work.
