Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead projects from small to large scales, supervising a team to complete work for dam, power, and infrastructure initiatives. You will perform calculations, field work, and client interactions while guiding scope, budgets, and design.

The role requires mentoring junior staff, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and serving as Engineer-of-Record on select projects, with travel 10–20% and a strong emphasis on regulatory compliance and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in at least one jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience.
• Willingness to travel 10-20% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and train junior staff.
• Lead multi-disciplinary project teams and coordinate tasks.
• Serve as Engineer-of-Record on projects.
• Develop project scope, budgets, and design for dam, power, and infrastructure projects.
• Support marketing and business development via proposals and client interviews.
• Coordinate meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure health, safety, and regulatory compliance on projects.
