Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to independently manage water-related projects and act as Engineer-of-Record. You will lead technical teams, coordinate with clients and consultants, and ensure reliable, cost-effective designs.

You will oversee scope, budgets, and schedules, mentor junior engineers, and help win projects through technical excellence and effective collaboration with stakeholders. The role requires Colorado PE or eligibility within six months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Advanced degree desirable).
• Registration as a Professional Engineer in Colorado, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in water, wastewater, and/or stormwater conveyance design.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage multiple projects, including large complex ones.
• Serve as Engineer-of-Record and provide technical leadership.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate tasks with Project Manager.
• Lead project coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Develop project scope, budgets, and design approaches; support proposals and negotiations.
