Job summary

Stantec is seeking a senior civil engineer to join the Energy group in Denver, CO. The role focuses on dams, levees, hydroelectric projects, and water resources for domestic and international clients, with travel to project sites required.

You will lead teams, perform analyses, mentor staff, and contribute to business development while working across disciplines to deliver robust solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university is required; Master’s preferred.
• 10–14 years’ civil engineering experience, with dams/levees experience.
• Existing PE license or ability to obtain within 3–6 months of starting.

Responsibilities

• Lead design tasks and oversee calculations with engineers, geologists, and scientists.
• Manage projects and mentor teams from 1 to 10 engineers.
• Develop design drawings at 30%, 60%, 90%, and 100% design stages.
• Support feasibility studies, cost estimates, and proposals.
• Ensure construction QA through shop drawings, RFIs, and site observations.
