Job summary

Coffman Engineers is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with at least ten years of experience. The role offers leadership of design and coordination across projects, mentoring a multidisciplinary team, and supporting business development with technical proposals.

Ideal candidates will have site design experience, strong proficiency in Civil 3D, stormwater, hydrology/hydraulic calculations, and the ability to manage budgets and schedules while collaborating with clients, architects, and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Civil Engineering.
• 10 years of applicable industry experience.
• Experience providing consulting services for Site Grading, Earthwork Calculations, Drainage, erosion and sediment control, and related design tasks.
• Lead project teams to complete design deliverables and develop design calculations.
• Local AHJ experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support business development through technical proposals and client engagement.
• Lead design team efforts and manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Collaborate with architects, owners, and contractors to deliver coordinated drawings.
• Perform site due diligence, entitlement reporting, and field inspections.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and cost estimates.
